La Romita Olive Trees

This painting shows how to use cool colors in a small watercolor. I painted the scene this weekend as a painting showing how a limited palette and cool colors work together. I plan to use this painting to show my watercolor classes how to pant with a limited palette and cool colors. I hope they get it.

Jack and Willie

Jack and Willie were surprised to have me take their picture. I painted them from this picture in acrylic and was really pleased with the outcome. I will post later.

Tom's Butterfly...Not selected for MSW Show

Only one painting selected for each artist submitting...probably fair

Mount Holly in Little Rock

The view shown here is from Mount Holly cemetery located near downtown in Little Rock. Mount Holly is a famous historic cemetery with graves containing the remains of many important historic Little Rock figures. I did a paint out at the cemetery in the spring on a gray day. I was pleased with the painting I did in a slow drizzle. I will post the painting later when I have time.

Rose in a Tree

The rose shown here is growing in my back yard. It has grown to about twelve feet height above the ground. I think it is just great!

La Romita Sunflowers

This one got in the Mid-Southern Watercolor Society Annual Exhibition. How about that, I am sure I was just a lucky guy. The watercolor painting is experimental in nature using color, shapes, and value change. The subjects were taken from my experiences at La Romita School of Art in Turni, Italy. One more selected painting in the MSW annual exhibition in 2013 and I will become a signature member of the Society.
